Dr. Rick Baxley is a pillar in the Orlando community operating a successful family practice in Orlando, Florida which we he built off of his ten seasons as the Orlando Magic Basketball team’s head physician. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. He furthered his studies at the University of Miami receiving his doctorate.

In Dr. Baxley’s prestigious career he has been bestowed many national and regional awards. In 1996, he received the President’s Volunteer Action Award under the National Points of Light Foundation. He is also the recipient of the Distinguished Leadership Award, Florida Family Physician of the Year award and “Top 10” finalist for Family Physician of the Year by the American Academy of Family Practice.

Dr. Baxley has served as Chairman of the Board for the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida.

The majority of Orlando’s professional sports teams have at one time or another come to Dr. Baxley for his keen insite and skill. The Orlando Magic found him a valuable asset for oer ten years where he had the ability to work with such greats as Shaquile O’Neal, Tracy McGrady, hometown favorite Darrel Hill, Coach Doc Rivers, and too many more to list. Other teams that have had the fortune of working with Dr. Baxley include; the Orlando Cubs, the Orlando Miracle, and the Orlando Solar Bears. He has also worked with the U.S. Women’s Olympic Soccer Team and “Team Cadillac” LeMans Prototype Racing Team.
